A special evening spent at Seacombe Dock on the Wirral, next to the River Mersey, approached a finale as I finished shooting the last few images of the hundreds needed to create my Merseyside Timelapse #6 video.
The view across the Mersey to the Royal Liver Building on the Liverpool waterfront was just stunning, with the brightly lit iconic acrhitectural marvel contrasting with the deep blue twilight sky above and dark waters of the river below.
Time for just a few more photos then, as I adjusted my camera's settings and took a series of overlapping frames, capturing the scene in a high resolution panoramic collage.
And pride of place went to the two Liver Bird sculptures right on top of the building's towers, glowing a ghostly blue against the night sky.
