This lovely image, overlooking Llandudno Bay at dusk is actually a blend of two separate exposures that I took over the course of an evening in late May for the production of my time lapse video showing the transisition from day to night at this stunning location.
For the sky I used an image taken early on in the evening, just after sunset when the light clouds were picking up a lovely magenta cast but the streetlights in the town below had not yet come on.
And for the lower half of this image I used a frame taken much later in the evening, when the ambient light levels had fallen enough to allow the orange coloured streetlights to dominate, but with no clouds to be seen.
That's one of the benefits of having over a thousand RAW files to play with from a single shoot!
Mind you - I'm getting through the 4TB hard drives at a frightening rate!
