September 2016 and for once we had relatively clear skies over North Wales in conjuction with a large full moon.
I'd been wanting to shoot a time lapse sequence of the moon rising over the coast for some time, but had mostly been thwarted by the weather, so this was a chance not to be missed.
With the help of the ever useful Photographer's Ephemeris app I identified a spot part way up the Great Orme at Llandudno that would give me a view of the moon rising over the Little Orme on the far side of the bay, while also taking in the iconic Victorian pier and streetlights leading up to the Little Orme.
In the end everything came together really well, and even the clouds that drifted across the moon at various times added to the specatacle that I was able to shoot for my Llandudno Moonrise time lapse video.
This still image is just one of the hundreds that I took on that wonderful evening overlooking one of my favourite places.
