A very early morning in late May found me up and out of bed and on my way to the North Wales coast in order to catch the sunrise.
My chosen location was Llandudno, specifically overlooking the iconic Victorian pier as at this time of year the sun should rise directly over the pavillion at the far end.
The object of the exercise was to capture hundreds of still images as dawn gave way to sunrise, in order to create my Llandudno Sunrise Timelapse #2 video.
And I wasn't disappointed, as I was treated to a gorgeous visual spectacle over the course of the next hour or so as the sun finally rose over the pier pavillion as a blood red fireball before swiftly disappearing behind the increasing cloud cover.
This image is one of the frames from the latter part of the shoot, featuring the sun just cresting the horizon behind the pier pavillion, leaving a glowing pathway of reflected light on the dark waters below.
