Llandudno, on the North Wales coast, is a unique location for photography in that it has both east and west facing shorelines.
This means that you can capture a sunrise on the East Shore promenade, spend the day eating ice cream and then head on over to the West Shore for a sunset and dusk light show.
This panoramic image was taken about half an hour after sunset, and shows the whole sweep of the view from the West Shore, from the Conwy estuary and cliffs of Penmaenmawr to the south (left in this image), right across the bay past the island of Anglesey and ending up at the Great Orme limestone headland on the right.
Obviously I stitched a whole load of images together in PhotoShop to make this composite, and a lot of the detail is lost in shrinking the picure for web viewing, but it's still a beautiful sight, especially in the glow of a North Wales twilight.
