Summer on the North Wales coast is a great place for an outdoor photographer to be.
With the coastline running east to west, and the sun rising and setting northeast and northwest, you can be on hand to witness and photograph both events at either end of the day.
Add into the mix some variable (sometimes too variable!) weather and you have a recipe for some exciting image making.
This particular shot shows the sun rising over the beach at Llanfairfechan, and is one of the still photos I took that morning to make my Llanfairfechan timelapse #1 video.
This photo, culled from hundreds taken that morning, shows the lovely patterns of sand and water that you get on this stretch of coast, highlighted by the sun which in turn was diffused behind the gathering clouds.
Well worth getting up early for!
