Surely one of the jewels in the Snowdonia National Park, this is the beautiful Llyn Padarn.
Photographed towards the end of the day, with the warm, golden light of sunset painting the mountains of the Snowdon range as they reflected in the perfect stillness of the waters, this was a special time.
It seemed that the world was holding its breath, on pause, waiting for the onset of night.
With the light fading fast I had to be pretty quick in setting up my camera and taking the multiple overlapping frames required to make this panorama from one of my favourite viewpoints right at the end of the lake, and just a few minutes after I'd completed the shoot the sun dipped below the horizon behind me and the whole scene turned to grey.
