Like a scene from 'Wind in the Willows', this is a view from an old stone bridge over the river Alyn as it winds its way through the lovely woods of the Loggerheads Country Park near my home in Northeast Wales.
Loggerheads is a place my wife Liz and I often visit with our grandchildren, exploring the river banks, climbing the limestone escarpments and playing in the water before enjoying an ice cream at Caffi Florence.
However, photography at Loggerheads can be quite challenging, with most views comprising a jumble of trees and undergrowth with no clear focal point for the most part.
However, this view, with the river Alyn flowing along tree lined banks towards a partially hidden cottage, has just enough coherence to convey the ambiance of this beautiful location.
