The story behind this image

OK I admit it - Paris is my favourite city bar none! It seems that everwhere you turn there is a beautifully lit building or bridge to marvel at, and the place really comes alive, visually speaking, at night.

This is another shot of the Louvre (I've got plenty more to go yet!) for which I had to wait till the fountains were switched off so I could get the reflections.

Normally, when photographing lit buildings, there's about a 20 minute window after sunset, in which the natural light in the sky is balanced by the artificial light on the buildings and, unfortunately I waited too long in this case and the sky went black. However, I still like this photo very much!
