The full moon cast its diffused light over the rooftops of Old Alcudia as Liz and I strolled around the top of the ancient city walls.
Below us we could hear the chatter of late night shoppers and diners enjoying the warm evening air, but up here we were in a world of our own.
Just as well really, because when I came to take this photo of the rooftops I found my tripod taking up the entire width of the walkway.
With a thirty second exposure I had to keep a careful lookout for approaching pedestrians, and time my triggering of the shutter to allow enough time for the camera to take the image without becoming a nuisance.
This was the best of the three frames I took of this scene, with the exposure pushed as high as I could without losing too much detail in the brightly lit clouds.
All in all, a magical night time experience, with the promise of a lovely dinner to follow - what's not to like?
