This red 'No Bathing' flag at Cala Molins on the north coast of Mallorca was certainly needed on the day Liz and I visited during out stay here, as the stiff onshore breeze had whipped up huge swells which were rolling in off the Mediterranean sea and making any excursion into the water a very hazardous affair.
No matter though, as I wasn't planning on bathing anyway, but was enjoying myself hugely, enjoying the spectacle and taking photos and videos of the tumultuous seas.
And that red flag stood out like a beacon, flapping crazily against the deep blue sky as the waves pounded the beach below.
I'll always seek out the colour red to include in a photo if I can, and it's such a dominant colour that you only need a little to season an image, a bit like using chillies in cooking.
In the end I took around half a dozen frames of this view, with the flag in various conditions of flap, with this being the most pleasing.
