The coastline at sa Calobra on the north-western coast of Mallorca is a fascinating geological area, comprised of limestone with numerous exposed caves to marvel at.
Accessed by an amazing hairpin road through the Tramuntana mountains, this seaside resort has been thoughfully developed with a long promenade that leads through tunnels cut in the rock leading to a secluded bay.
The photo from which this image was created was taken inside one of the tunnels at dusk, with the colourful artificial lights providing stripes of illumination on the rock faces.
The only real problem I faced in taking the photo was the exposure time of 30 seconds, as people kept walking into the frame, or even worse, needing to get past my tripod which was blocking the tunnel!
But after several aborted attempts I finally managed to find a 'person free' interval and got this shot.
