On the south western tip of the Mediterranean island of Mallorca lies the seaside town of Sant Elm.
My wife Liz and I spent a few hours there during our tour of the island, during which time we found this rocky cove, under unusually cloudy skies.
I was glad of the clouds, as the reduced brightness and contrast compared with a sunny sky meant I could take this photo showing all the lovely textures and colours of the rocks without dense shadows spoiling what I wanted to show.
In the end I took around half a dozen photos of this scene, with this one being my favourite due the the gentle wave break just adding a highlight detail and delineating the interface between land and sea.
