The small seaside town of Sant Pere, on the north coast of Mallorca, has a pleasant little promenade which Liz and I took a stroll along during our most recent visit to this Mediterranean island.
Nice though it was there, I was stumped for something interesting to photograph until we came across this larger than life avant garde female sculpture, right in the middle of the path.
Even so, taking a reasonable photograph was tricky, as the background was messy and detracted from the impact the statue should have had.
Never mind though, as careful framing at the taking stage, plus some selective toning in Lightroom afterwards, gave the final image a somewhat surreal air, much in keeping with the statue herself.
