A beautiful, clear early morning in southern Snowdonia near Barmouth on the west Wales coast, and I've got up early from the holiday cottage where my wife Liz and I were enjoying a long weekend, and I've made the journey up to the wonderful Cregennan Lakes, nestled at the foot of Cader Idris, to photograpth the sunrise.
I arrived with the sky just starting to colour up in the east, and I spent the next hour shooting the hundreds of still images needed to create my Cregennan Lakes Timelapse #8 video.
Once I'd finished the time lapse shoot, and with the day still young, I climbed up to the overlook at the back of the Cregennan Lakes car park to enjoy the view out over the Mawddach estuary and Barmouth, with the sun still low eoungh in the sky to bring out the details in the undulating landscape.
And, of course, I had my camera with me!
