A day spent exploring the coastline on the beautiful Isle of Anglesey, just off the North Wales coast, is never a day wasted.
Which is why my wife Liz and I take the hour long drive to Anglesey whenever opportunity and weather coincide, to enjoy the fresh sea air and to look at the wonderful scenery.
One of our favourite places to spend some time just meandering along the cliffs is at Moelfre on the eastern side of the island, with an abundance of wildflowers and deserted beaches to enliven the senses.
And it was while walking the cliffs at Moelfre that I saw this dramatic sight of a small yacht, heeling over in the stiff breeze with the North Wales coastline in the background and a threatening sky overhead.
Thankfully I always carry my camera with my on these excursions, with settings dialled in, filters fitted and ready to shoot, so it was the work of a moment to capture a couple of frames.
And then it was on our way again, enjoying the sensory wonderland that is the Anglesey coast.
