This full moon rose over Llyn Padarn, by Llanberis in Snowdonia.
Anyone who knows this area will appreciate how rare it is to see such a sight, as cloud is more or less a permanent feature in this part of the world.
I especially like this image, as I managed to retain detail in both the moon and the landscape, usually either the moon burns out to complete white or the foreground landscape turns completely black.
I took this photo just after the sun had set, so there was still some reflected light hitting the ground, and I used a 3 stop ND grad filter over the sky to keep the exposure of the moon within the limits of the digital sensor.
