5.30am on a crisp, clear autumn morning in early October and I'm at one of my favourite morning spots on the slopes of the my local hill, Moel Famau.
Away to the east the sky is just starting to pick up the first light of the approaching sun, tinged with a faint hint of azure while overhead the inky blue of the night sky still shows a myriad stars in their waltz around the heavens.
Suspended between the two, like a necklace of precious jewels set on a velvet cloth, a waning crescent moon lies in conjunction with the planets Venus, Mars and Jupiter, strung out above the forested slopes of Foel Fenlli.
As night flees from the coming dawn I take this one photo before the faint light of the planets is overwhelmed by the brightening sky.
A reminder of God's grace and wisdom in action on a celestial scale.
I'm glad I got up early that morning.
