This is the largest stitched panorama taken from the cable car complex at the top of the Dachstein Glacier in Austria.
This view is to the north, and shows the glacier itself.
Liz and I were really looking forward to actually walking on a glacier, something we'd never done before. It certainly was an experience, but I was somewhat concerned by how wet it was up there. There were literally streams of water running down the surfaceof the glacier, and in several places our walk turned into a paddle.
Global warming, or just natural melting in the warm sunshine? I wonder.
Anyhow, the views, as usual, were staggering, and I'm so pleased that Photoshop managed to stitch my eight frames together so cleanly.
