While Liz and I were strolling around Padstow on the first evening of our weekend away in Cornwall we came across this lovely looking pub/restaurant called the Old Custom House, situated right on the front overlooking the harbour. Very picturesque.
After I'd finished photographing the outside of it from various angles (this photo being the most interesting) we decided to check out the menu to see if a)they had anything nice, and b)we could afford to eat it.
Well the menu looked great, but the prices - Wow!
In the end we had to settle for a photograph and a sandwich back at our appartment.
By the way, I love photographing buildings like this at night as there's such a beautiful contrast in colour temperatures between the cold blue of the night sky and the warm glow of artificial lights. This contrast gives a homely, welcoming feel to any image made under such conditions.
