A lovely sunny afternoon on the beautiful Isle of Anglesey, just off the North Wales coast, and Liz and I are making the most of the fine weather with a trip to one of the remoter spots, Penmon Point, right on the southeastern corner of the island.
Normally we'll stick around close to the iconic lighthouse for a spot of dolphin watching and photography, but on this occasion, wanting a different view, we set off north along the shingle beach to see what we could find.
This is the view looking back along the beach towards the lighthouse and Puffin Island from the rocks at the far end.
The combination of sea, rock and pebbles made for a great foreground for a photo, so I was soon in business, crouched down low dodging the incoming waves camera in hand.
This is my favourite shot from this spot, with the just cresting wave adding a touch of dynamism to the composition.
