Very early on a midsummer's morning and the pre-dawn twilight glow is lighting up the northeastern horizon with a bright orange stripe in anticipation of the sun's arrival for a new day.
I'm all alone at what must be one of the most beautiful and enigmatic places on earth, Penmon Point on the south eastern tip of the Isle of Anglesey, just off the North Wales coast.
The only sounds I can hear are the soft sussuration of the waves on the rocky foreshore, punctuated by the mournful cry of the gulls as they wheel overhead and the regular doling of the warning bell from the lighthouse just a few yards away from where I'm standing.
The tide is almost fully out, allowing me to get close to the lighthouse and shoot a few hundred stills, with Puffin Island in the background, for the production of my time lapse video of dawn at Penmon Point, of which this image is just one, taken early on in the sequence.
After I've finished shooting my time lapse sequence I sit quietly as the sun rises, until it's time to pack up for the long drive back home and onto a day's work in the factory.
But what a way to start the day, alone, surrounded by the sights, sounds and smells of God's creation.
