The coast can provide wonderful opportunities for semi-abstract images, such as this photo of a paddling pool on the sea front at Llandudno, North Wales.
What mkes this picture work for me is the juxtaposition of the absolutely still blue pool and the dynamic grey and magenta clouds, delineated by the line of railings.
Careful composition and cropping added to the weirdness of the scene.
