Electricity pylons, channeling the lifeblood of our modern society around the country like veins and arteries feed blood around the human body.
Important yes, but photogenic?
Well I think so, under the right circumstances.
My wife Liz and I were enjoying a walk along the Wales coastal path alongside the estuary of the River Dee past the factories, roads and railways of Connah's Quay.
Even in this heavily industrialised part of North Wales there was still plenty of natural beauty to take in, punctuated by lines of pylons and cables marching off into the distance.
A study in geometry and light, and rather eye catching I find.
