It's not often you are able to walk directly up to an electricity pylon, much less get right underneath it.
So I took full advantage of the opportunities this particular pylon, near the Cemex quary at Pentre Halkyn in the North Wales hills, gave me.
My wife Liz and I were hiking the trails up to the quarry when we passed by this pylon, just a short distance from the path and fully accessible.
So we had a bit of a diversion as I spent ten minutes or so, photographing it from every angle possible, including from directly underneath, which I've never been able to do before.
Hopefully I'll be able to return and film a time lapse video here, so long as there are some interesting clouds passing by rather than the clear blue skies we had on this occasion.
Mind you, I'm not complaining!
