Now I'm no wildlife photographer, but even if I was I wouldn't choose a slow film like Velvia for that sort of work.
But when opportunity knocks you have to respond, even if you don't have the optimum camera set up to hand.
My wife Liz and I were out looking at bluebells in the woods at Wepre Park, near Connah's Quay in North East Wales, when we came upon this baby rabbit just sitting quite happily by the side of the path.
Expecting it to run away at any moment I changed lenses on my Canon A1 from wide angle to zoom telephoto and got as close to the rabbit as I dared.
The baby rabbit seemed completely unperturbed by my antics and sat there quite contented as I fired off a couple of frames with different compositions, holding the camera as still as possible for the uncomfortably long exposure, before we went on our way, leaving the rabbit in peace.
