This photo of a beautiful rainbow, perched over the Great Orme, Llandudno on the North Wales coast, was taken during the storms of the winter of 2013-14.
As you can see, Llandudno took a bit of a battering, but thankfully no serious damage was done.
As far as it's safe to do so, I will always try and get out and photograph in rough weather. Flat grey of blue skies have limited appeal to me, and I much prefer dramatic skies to compliment my landscape images.
The icing on the cake this day was when the sun broke briefly through the clouds to the west and, shining through the rain, cast this lovely reminder of God's promise over the scene.
Mind you, I was so intent on getting this photo taken correctly that I didn't notice the bigger than usual wave that came up into the car park and washed over my boots.
Still, it was worth it to be able to have this picture of one of my favourite places.
