Taken looking down at the sea from the deck of the cruise liner Ventura during a stay in Stavanger, Norway, I find the symmetry of this composition strangely compelling.
The balance of light and dark, positive and negative space combined with the patterns of light on the wavelets makes this photo, for me anyway, transcend the sum of its parts.
Weird eh, but I could look at this image for a long time and I may even print it and put in on my wall, which is something I don't do very often.
