On our whistle stop two day tour of the Gower Peninsula on the South Wales coast, Liz and I had to be pretty selective about where we visited.
But top of our 'go to' list was Rhossili Beach.
This photo was taken towards the northern, less visited end of Rhossili Bay.
A very strong onshore breeze was whipping up the waves, with this section of the beach covered in a thick layer of wind blown foam, looking like the froth off a cappuchino.
I guess being this close to the industrial areas of Swansea and Llanelli on the South Wales coast it's inevitable that you'll see some effect, but this was a bit unsettling.
Nevertheless, the foam made for a dramatic and surreal scene - like something out of the Quatermass Experiment.
