Broken clouds scud across the sky on a lovely July evening, casting a moving patchwork quilt of sunlight and shadow over the gorgeous North Wales lanscape at Rhuddlan Castle on the banks of the river Clwyd.
With a few hours to spare I was heading coastwards to film the sunset on the coast at Rhyl when I drove through Rhuddlan and saw the castle glowing in the light of the low angled sun, with patches of shadow tracking across the stonework.
So I put my trip to the coast on hold for half an hour while I set up my camera to record the hundreds of frames I needed to create my Rhuddlan Castle Timelapse #1 video.
This image is one of those frames, and features the castle and riverbank in a patch of full sunlight, but with a patch of shadow moving in from the right hand side of the composition.
