The story behind this image

I found this striking rock composition along the path at Moss Valley, a country park near Wrexham, North Wales.

What attracted me to this image was the diagonal crack running through the foreground rock, which gives both a focal point and a lead-in line to the image.

The colour difference between the foreground and backgound rocks serve to add depth and interest to the composition.
