Only in America!
I'd never come across a scrapyard that had been turned into an amusement park for old engineers and photographers until I came to Jerome, Arizona.
This wonderland was full of the most attractive junk, all lovingly arranged so you could walk around, climb on and photograph to your heart's content.
The only warning sign to be found concerned a rattlesnake nest under an old brothel (appropriate somehow).
Liz had long since given up on me and gone back to sit in the air-conditioned SUV as I spent a couple of hours in photography and engineering paradise.
I don't understand why she didn't love the place as much as I did. Aren't women funny?
