This is the classic photograph of Notre Dame as it sits on the Ile de la Cité in the middle of the Seine taken from the Pont d'Austerlitz just a little way down the river.
Photographing at dusk gave a nice balance between the light in the sky and the artificial lights along the Seine, and a 30 second exposure nicely blurred the surface of the river.
A heavy crop and conversion to monochrome gave the final image a touch of Parisiene mood, and reminds me of a warm night along the Seine. Very nice.
