This photo of an old shop in the fishing village of Port Isaac on the coast of north Cornwall is very much a snapshot, taken while my wife Liz and I were strolling about just enjoying the relaxed atmosphere in this lovely spot.
These Cornish fishing villages are full of eccentric historical buildings and shops, with not a Starbucks in sight - what a relief!
I was attracted to photograph this particular shop by the vivid blue colour it had been painted, which contrasted nicely with the yellow moss roof, red floral display and patriotic bunting.
For me, this sort of quirky visual feast epitomises all that's best about rural Britain, especially at the seaside.
