Surely one of the most beautiful and dramatic sights in North Wales is the South Stack lighthouse on the Isle of Anglesey.
This is definately a sunset location at any time of year, with the direction of sunset ove rthe Irish Sea changing from southwest to northwest as winter gives way to summer.
On this occasion I was here pretty close to the spring equinox, with the sun setting virtually due west into a mist laden horizon that glowed with the warm colours of the golden hour, reflecting in the calm sea below.
A magical time of day in a wonderful place, with nothing but the sussurant hiss of the sea and the cries of the seabirds to punctuate the silence.
Along with the click of a shutter of course!
