The lovely views of the Antrim coast kept my wife Liz and I happily staring ahead as we paddled in the Atlantic surf at Whitepark Bay.
But as the waves broke over our feet I couldn't help looking down at the freshly washed sand left by the receding water and noticing the smooth many hued pebbles embedded in the sand.
So for a while I pointed my camera down and looked for attractive combinations of stones.
This is one such grouping, in which the colours, placement and patterns all come together in a highly attractive little tableau.
My polarising filter helped remove the sun's glare from the wet pebbles so we can see the colours and patterns that would otherwise have been hidden.
