One of the lesser known hikes that my wife Liz and I enjoy tackling on our home turf of North Wales is the Sychnant Pass along the coastal hills near the town of Conway.
The first stage of the hike takes you along a tarmac path that passes by some dramatic and colourful rock formations, bedecked with heather and gorse.
On a sunny day the colours, textures and forms of the rocks are a visual treat, so it wss no surprise that I stopped for a minute or two on our way up the hill to capture a few images of various rock and plant compositions.
This was my favourite shot, with a boundary of green gorse at the bottom of the frame and a nicely curved line of rocks leading the viewers' eye up through the image to the boundary of stone and sky at the top.
