The North Wales coast must be one of the premiere locations in th UK to view a sunset or sunrise from.
From spring through to autumn the sun rises in the northeast and sets in the northwest, so you can enjoy both events from the north facing coastline, weather permitting!
With big skies, a vast expanse of tidal beach, and the iconic Point of Ayr lighthouse sticking wonkily out of the sand on its concrete plug, the beach at Talacre is one of the best spots on the coast for a spot of early morning or late evening photography.
This view of the beach and lighthouse was taken looking west as the sun was setting into cloud over the North Sea as the tide was coming in, and this frame was just one of hundreds that I took on that evening in order to make my Talacre Tide time lapse video.
I chose this particular frame to present as a still image due to the beautiful colouring in the clouds, which faded away to twilight soon after this exposure was taken.
