During a stay in Paris my wife Liz and I took the train out to Versailles for the day. We'd never been before and we had a great day out looking at the palaces and gardens.
It was a roasting hot day with the sun beating down and, although I took many snapshot type photos, the harsh lighting and crowds of people made it difficult to find a scene which rose above just being snapshot worthy.
However, while exploring the gardens we came across this lovely avenue of trees, glowing in the sunlight, and while Liz went in search of an ice cream I waited until there was no-one about and got this shot.
