Another pre-dawn climb up our local mountain, Moel Famau in North Wales, and I'm stopped just watching as the sky and clouds brighten just before the sun rises.
I'm always amazed at how dramatic the light is at this time of the day, and how quickly the colours, highlights and shadows go through their transition from night to morning.
Of course, non of this happens on grey overcast mornings, but during times of active weather, when fronts are moving across the sky from the Altantic ocean and the broken clouds are picking up the first of the sun's rays, then magic happens.
It's at times like these, just standing, watching and photographing, that I remember that God set all these things in motion, and right at the beginning He said 'Let there be light!'
