Actually this is the limestone overlook at Loggerheads Country Park near where I live in North Wales, and this view has already featured in other images in this gallery, albeit under more normal lighting conditions.
This particular photo was taken at night, in winter, and uses a technique called light painting to emphasise the foregroung tree against the dark background.
Night photography gives a completely different feel to an image. In this case the feel was 'spooky', which I enhanced in Photoshop by going monochrome and by adding a glow to the highlights using a technique called 'ortonising', which you can learn more about here.
