When photographing waterfalls it's always tempting to try and include the whole thing in one image, but this can be self-defeating as all sorts of distracting elements and slices of bright sky intrude to reduce the visual impact of the flowing water.
For this photo of Aber Falls in Snowdonia I zoomed in on just a small section of the falls which had an interesting fold of rock over hwich the water was cascading in a most attractive fashion.
Although the falls in their entirety were very imposing, this small section view gives a much more dramatic impression of the power and grace of the flowing water.
