Starting off in the small town of Schladming, Austria, there's a fantastic water themed trail called 'Wilde Wasser' or 'Wild Water' for those of us who are linguistically challenged.
Of course, Liz and I had to hike some of it while we were staying there and we were just blown away by the awesome scenery we encountered along the way.
These are the Riesach Falls, just one of the spectacular experiences to be enjoyed on this well defined and maintained trail.
Taking and making this photo wasn't straightforward, as bright sunlight caused the water to overexpose horribly and lose all detail.
In the end I took five exposures at 1 stop increments and HDR'd them together using Photomatix Pro to get detail everywhere in the scene. Normally I'm not a great fan of the HDR look, but this seems to be quite a reasonable rendition, and there was certainly no other way of cramming that huge tonal range into one image.
