An impromptu drive around the northern end of the Wirral peninsula took my wife Liz and I past New Brighton and on down the banks of the river Mersey, ending up at Seacombe Dock, home of the famous Mersey Ferry.
And there we stopped to admire the views of the Liverpool skyline on the far side of the river.
But I rather liked the old floating dock and walkway that stretched out from the shore, so I included it in this composotion, encompassing both sides of this famous waterway.
