The last light of the setting sun kisses the last yacht still sailing on the marine lake at West Kirby on the Wirral.
I just loved the way the spinnaker lit up pink whilst the rest of the yacht and surrounding scenery was already in shadow, and it's this single point of light and colour that makes this image work for me.
It's just a simple scene, showing a simple pleasure, with simple lighting and a simple colour palette.
Two minutes later and the sun had set, the yacht had sailed off to its moorings at the far end of the lake, and Liz and I were left to continue on our twilight walk around the lake.
