A solitary yacht makes its way out of the Menai Straits in the late afternoon light before turning north to round Penmon Point on the island of Anglesey, just off the North Wales coast.
Penmon Point is a fascinating combination of light, sea and rock that has been a favourite photographic beauty spot of mine for years now.
On this occasion I was looking south across the mouth on the Menai Straits to the mountains beyond when this yacht appeared under sail in the moderate breeze.
Of course I photographed it, taking several shots of which this one gave the best combination of wave and cloud action to set the scene.
