On our way back home to North Wales from a long weekend in England's Lake District my wife Liz and I were determined to wring the last ounce of enjoyment from our mini-break.
So instead of just getting on the M6 motorway and blasting homewards we took a diversion eastwards out of Cumbria and into the Yorkshire Dales along the A684, in the direction of Sedbergh.
At the border of the Dales we came across this great sign featuring a ram's head, and I couldn't resist pulling over for a quick photo or two of the sign, set against the beautiful rolling Dales landscape basking under summer skies.
I bet it doesn't always look this inviting!
