The story behind this image

The stunning scenery of the Snowdonia National Park is nowhere more in evidence than on the path from the Ogwen Visitors Centre up to Llyn Idwal at the base of the Glyderau mountains.

With jaw dropping views in all directions, it's a great place to construct a 360° panoramic image, which is just what I did as my wife Liz and I took a five minute break from our climb up to the lake.

This view encompasses the Nant Ffrancon valley, the Glyderau mountains, including Britain's favourite mountan, Tryfan, the Ogwen valley including Llyn Ogwen, and the Carneddau mountain, culminating in the impressive monolith of Pen yr Ole Wen.
