An overcast and slightly dizzly afternoon greeted my wife Liz and I as we prepared to sail out of Belfast harbour on the P&O cruise liner Azura.
Never mind the weather though, as there was plenty to see as we left our berth and headed on up the estuary of the river Lagan to the Irish Sea.
The Titanic museum, parked oil rigs, the huge cranes of the Harland & Wolfe shipyards and many other interesting reminders of the area's industrial heritage slipped by astern as we made our stately way out to sea.
Perched on the top deck at the stern of such a large ship gave a unique perspective over the harbour, and I spent a happy hour watching and filming until we finally made it out to sea.
