North Wales is blessed with a fantastic heritage of ancient buildings and monuments, and one of the most impressive is the enormous world heritage site of Caernarfon Castle, on the banks of the tidal Menai Straits and the river Afon Seiont.
I've photographed the castle many times, in many different weather, lighting and tidal conditions, and I've never failed to be entranced by the view at dusk, as the natural light of day fades away and the artifically lit stonework of the walls and turrets glow ever brighter against the deep blue twilight sky.
On this occasion I had an extra treat, as the tide was in and the castle was reflecting in the calm waters of the Afon Seiont at my feet.
So, although we were heading home after a day out in the beauties of Snowdonia, Liz and I stopped to admire this view, and, of course, for me to take the hundreds of still images needed to make this time lapse video.
